Why Artistic Maquillage by Lei Ponce?
I have noticed the work of Lei Ponce through Yeng Constantino's IG, he was one of the make - up artist by the Pop Diva Singer-Songwriter. Last quarter of 2018, I asked the help of the WAW community for a recommendation of high fashion HMUA and most of them replied for Lei Ponce. And eventually, I have checked his FB and IG account; his style is perfect for our theme. Lie Ponce completed our Chateau De Tagaytay Engagement Shoot Team.
What happened next?
1. October 23, 2018; I inquired through his Facebook Page.
2. October 24, 2018; I received an email along with the rates and the draft contract.
3. October 28, 2018, we booked Lei Ponce as our Prenup HMUA.
4. February 23, 2019; I sent complete details of our Pre - Nup Photoshoot Team includes of pegs and theme, date and time of the shoot, location, stylist and photographer.
5. November 19, 2019; our wedding coordinator sent the prenup shoot timeline.
7. November 20, 2019; I shared the mood board that I prepared and the mood board provided by Styling by Yvonne.
8. November 21, 2019; PRE - NUP PHOTO SHOOTING DATE! First-time to be seated in the make - up chair!

Feedback On
- Value for Money. For a prenup HMUA, we spent a bit costly.
- Communication. Lei replied quicker than I expected.
- Team. Lei has a very endearing personality, in a full tilt; Alger and I were really having fun and joking around with him; as well as together with the other suppliers.
- Service or Product Quality and Output. I liked the 3 looks that he made on me.
Success Notes
- Work Ethics. Lei is definitely has good track record, he's one of the nicest supplier we had.
- Used to work with other suppliers. Lie Ponce was able to work with Myio Okamoto and Styling by Yvonne Camay usually.
- Punctual. They arrived 15 - minutes early to our call time.
- Clean and sanitized brushes and make - up tools. I am impressed on this! He's very OC, i guess.
- Branded cosmetics and make - ups. As expected, Lei is using premuim brands of make - ups. His using Charlotte Tilbury foundation , Laura Merceir concealer, Caudalie; Lamer; Embryolisse for skin care, Tom Ford lipsticks, Make - Up Forever eyeshadow and Nars blush on.
Failed Notes
- Make - up got cakey. (Our shooting location is in Tagaytay and it was in November, so we had perfect weather for a shoot.) I don't know much about the science of make - up so, correct me on this! Probably, my face got cakey and oily because it was a heavy make - up to achieve a high fashion make - up and I have an oily face. Alger has very light make - up since he does not want it, but; his face turned to be very oily as well.
- No proper retouch. As the shooting is ongoing, I think HMUA or HMUA assistant at the least, he or she must have a keen eye if their client needs a retouch or dab the oily nose or face. On this part either me, the stylist or photographer needs to call the HMUA assistant for he or she to do the retouch.
