One of the most important decisions of the groom and bride is finding the perfect church, the sacred place of exchanging I do's, and finally; begin a happily ever after. Here's what we applied in deciding on finding our wedding church and learned after our wedding.

Significance. Find meaning on why you choose a particular church as your place of the wedding ceremony. It could be the church when you had your Sacrament of Baptism, the wedding church of your parents or the church you have met your future spouse.

Consider the location. It must be strategically accessible and easy to locate, with ample parking space. Ideally, it should be near to the venue of the reception. My suggestion is at least not more than a 30-minute drive away from the church to the reception.

Ambiance and Structure. Very Formal, Formal, Semi-Formal or Casual; your wedding church may vary depends on the level of the formality of your wedding. My suggestions are must harmonize with your wedding theme, link up to your wedding budget and can accommodate the number of your wedding guests. And, this goes with the reception venue as well.

Requirements and Expectations. Ask and get the comprehensive details of the requirements from price breakdown and payment terms, documentation, rules, restrictions policies, musician, lectors, missalette, music playlist and what to expect on the day. You need to have a full direction to anticipate the flow of the wedding mass and ceremony. If you can get this information on or before your booking, it will be a big help if you will decide to book the church of you discern officially.
